(19.01.2011) Zurich. As of the start of the year 2011, a number of Work Groups and Project Groups of the New Apostolic Church have been reorganised. A total of sixteen Work Groups and Project Groups are currently at work on various topics. Their work supports decision-making in the District Apostle Meetings and aids the Church leadership in arriving at suitable answers to various questions. more ...
nacworld in review: 2010 was a successful year
(03.01.2011) Zurich. Sixteen thousand new members logged on to the online community of the New Apostolic Church over the past twelve months. The growth over the space of a single year: 160 percent. Thousands of nacworld members are active in the over 9,000 forums, communicating with one another about their faith and other daily matters. Every month, nacworld members around the world write each other over 100,000 news updates, blog in the thousands, and chat across all national borders. more ...

The liturgy of the New Apostolic Church as of the first Sunday of Advent 2010
(08.11.2010) Zurich. The liturgy is what orders and governs the sequence of music, prayers, Bible readings, the sermon, and the dispensation of the sacraments within the divine service. With the start of the new church year, a reform will come into effect (we reported) in the New Apostolic Church. The celebration of Holy Communion in particular is to be structured in even more dignified fashion through the enriched liturgical elements. An impressive journey to Zambia

Some 6,000 members and guests came to the Lusaka-Central church in order to enjoy the divine service with Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber live, while tens of thousands more were linked to the festive service by satellite. At the end of the service, Apostle Akombaetwa Samalama was given a festive retirement, and six new Apostles and eight new Bishops were ordained for the District Churches of Zambia, South East Africa, and Cape. more ...
New Statutes of the New Apostolic Church unanimously approved
(28.10.2010) Zurich. The International Apostle Meeting on 21 May 2010 in Cape Town, South Africa unanimously ratified a revision to the Statutes (Articles of Association) of the New Apostolic Church International, or NACI for short. In addition to many smaller changes, a so-called Delegates’ Meeting was introduced in order to reduce the costs of these gatherings. In the meantime the revised statutes have been registered with the Commercial Register of the Canton of Zurich, Switzerland. more ...

On the one hand, the international Church leader drew attention to the special festive day on the church calendar: Thanksgiving Day. On the other, he commemorated one of his predecessors in ministry, the long-serving Chief Apostle John Gottfried Bischoff, who had resided in Frankfurt and had led the Church for over thirty years. more ...
Succession plan in the New Apostolic Church of Northern Germany

On the second Sunday of Advent, 5 December 2010, the international leader of the New Apostolic Church, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber, will conduct a divine service in Hamburg for the entire District Apostle district of Northern Germany. In this divine service, District Apostle Karlheinz Schumacher (66) will be retired and his successor ordained. Festive divine service and fifty-year wedding anniversary in Zurich
(27.09.2010) Zurich. “I stand before you with a pounding heart” – it was with these words that Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber began his address to the anniversary couple, Sonja and Richard Fehr, as they celebrated their golden wedding. The large festive congregation was thankful and happy that the retired Chief Apostle Fehr had indeed been able to attend this special divine service despite the health impediments that had resulted from his recent stroke. more ...
Divine service for European ministers 2010: Serving means making yourself available to the Lord!
(13.09.2010) Zurich/Leipzig. Once each year the incumbent Chief Apostle of the New Apostolic Church conducts a divine service for all the ministers of Europe. This time, the special divine service took place in Leipzig, and all active and retired ministers, together with their wives, were invited to attend in the various locations. A new feature this year was the sequence of the divine service: Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber conducted the divine service in accordance with the revised liturgy that will be in effect after the start of the new church year. more ...

(09.09.2010) Zurich/Detroit. The metropolis of Detroit in the American state of Michigan was on Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber’s travel itinerary. In a festive divine service there on Sunday, 5 September 2010, which took place in the Rock Financial Showplace, he retired the long-serving Bishop Clifford Freund and ordained a new Bishop for the New Apostolic District Church of Mexico. Beyond that, he informed Church members in Canada about who is to succeed the current District Apostle Leslie Latorcai when he retires in November. more ...
Prayers for world peace 2010

Concerning this, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber writes: “This year we will again acknowledge the International Day of Prayer for Peace.” To this end, the opening prayer of the midweek divine service of 22/23 September will draw attention to world peace and peaceful coexistence among all human beings. more ...
Progress in recovery from a stroke

His therapy in a rehabilitation clinic is making good progress, and doctors are predicting that he will completely recover all his faculties. New Apostolic families in Pakistan have also been affected
(27.08.2010) Zurich. The New Apostolic Church in Pakistan numbers some 200,000 members, many of whom have been affected by the flooding catastrophe in their country. Over one hundred families have lost everything they own. Congo West to have its own District Apostle

On 1 August, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber, the international leader of the New Apostolic Church, will conduct a divine service in Kinshasa, the capital city of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Concurrent with his visit, the new District Apostle district of “Democratic Republic of Congo West” will be established. (07.07.2010) Berlin/Moscow. Two years after the European Youth Day in Düsseldorf (EYD 2009) the New Apostolic Church is organising a transnational Youth Day in Russia. District Apostle Wolfgang Nadolny, who is responsible for the congregations in this region, informs us that from 5 to 7 August 2011, all young New Apostolic Christians from Russia and the surrounding nations will be invited to the RYD 2011, not far from Moscow. Natural disasters in Australia: first a flood, then a storm

In a letter addressed to the Chief Apostle, District Apostle Andrew Andersen reports on the terrible natural disasters that have recently struck Australia: “Three weeks ago we had serious flooding in the southern part of the state of Queensland … and this morning a super cyclone struck the northern part of Queensland.” The letter also expresses his gratitude to all brethren in faith around the world for their many prayers. more ...
