Natural disasters in Australia: first a flood, then a storm

In a letter addressed to the Chief Apostle, District Apostle Andrew Andersen reports on the terrible natural disasters that have recently struck Australia: “Three weeks ago we had serious flooding in the southern part of the state of Queensland … and this morning a super cyclone struck the northern part of Queensland.” The letter also expresses his gratitude to all brethren in faith around the world for their many prayers. more ...
A new District Apostle Helper in South East Africa
(01.02.2011) Johannesburg/Zurich. Last Tuesday Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber appointed Apostle Patrick Mandla Mkhwanazi (47) a District Apostle Helper for the New Apostolic Church in South East Africa. One of his main tasks will be to visit the islands served from the District Church’s headquarters in Johannesburg, particularly Madagascar. In a letter to all the Apostles around the world, the international Church leader writes: “We wish the new District Apostle Helper rich blessing and much success in his work.” more ...
On the current situation in Egypt: “Please join us in praying”
(01.02.2011) Frankfurt. District Apostle Bernd Koberstein is concerned about the situation of the New Apostolic congregations in Egypt. In a press release he mentions that the approximately 170 members of our Church—along with members of other denominations and religions—have had to suffer under what are at times chaotic circumstances. “To the degree that we were able to make contact with our members there, we have learned that the majority of them have taken shelter in their homes and are waiting for things to settle down.” more ...
Training for the New Apostolic Catechism has begun
(26.01.2011) Lehrte/Zurich. A conference hotel in Lehrte (near Hannover) brought together representatives of all District Apostle districts of the New Apostolic Church from around the world in order to receive training on how to introduce the Church’s new Catechism, which is still in the production phase. District Apostle Wilfried Klingler, the host from Lower Saxony, extended a warm welcome to the participants. “Even though the new Catechism of our Church is not yet available in print, it is important for us to inform the members about its doctrinal contents as quickly as possible,” he noted. more ...
Church Project Groups and Work Groups reorganised
(19.01.2011) Zurich. As of the start of the year 2011, a number of Work Groups and Project Groups of the New Apostolic Church have been reorganised. A total of sixteen Work Groups and Project Groups are currently at work on various topics. Their work supports decision-making in the District Apostle Meetings and aids the Church leadership in arriving at suitable answers to various questions. more ...

nacworld in review: 2010 was a successful year

Thousands of nacworld members are active in the over 9,000 forums, communicating with one another about their faith and other daily matters. Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber in Benin
(16.12.2010) Zurich. On the third Sunday of Advent this year, the international Church leader, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber, found himself in the West African country of Benin. In the country’s capital of Porto Novo he ordained a new Apostle for the Ivory Coast in Konan Jules Kouadio (49), along with two District Elders and four District Evangelists. Rüdiger Krause is the new District Apostle in Northern Germany
(07.12.2010) Hamburg. Last Sunday brought a change in leadership for the New Apostolic Church in Northern Germany: the name of the new District Apostle is Rüdiger Krause (49). He was ordained in a festive divine service conducted by the international Church leader, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber. At the same time, the District Church also received a new Bishop in Thorsten Beutz from Wilhelmshaven. more ...
