Pentecost 2010: Welcome to Cape Town
(26.02.2010) Zurich/Cape Town. This year’s Pentecost celebration will convene all presently active Apostles of the New Apostolic Church in Cape Town, South Africa. The international satellite transmission of a Pentecost concert and divine service will originate from there. New Apostolic Christians around the world send donations for Haiti
(10.02.2010) Zurich. International expressions of solidarity with the people of the earthquake region of Haiti have been overwhelming. Many New Apostolic congregations have participated in donation drives. There are reports of various campaigns from all District Churches around the world. For example, District Apostle Leslie Latorcai from Canada has written to the members in the congregations in his care that over 120,000 Canadian dollars have been raised across the country and presented to the national Red Cross. more ...
Many lives lost in Haiti earthquake
(14.01.2010) Zurich. Millions of people on the Caribbean island of Haiti have been left impoverished, injured, wounded, dead, or homeless. There has not even been any news yet concerning the approximately 2,000 New Apostolic Christians there. The capital city, Port-au-Prince, is in a state of utter chaos. With a magnitude of 7.0 on the Richter scale, Tuesday evening’s earthquake was the worst in decades. And to make matters worse, the country is already among the poorest nations in the world. more ...
Worldwide prayers for peace 2009

It has now been several years that the New Apostolic Church has participated in the worldwide prayers for peace which traditionally take place each year during the month of September. The World Council of Churches (ÖRK/WCC/COE), with its seat in Geneva, is calling upon all churches to take part in this initiative of the United Nations. In UN-Resolution 55/282 from 2001, the 21st day of September was chosen to mark the International Day of Prayer for Peace. more ...

(04.06.2009) Chicago. It is Pentecost Sunday 2009, and Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber finds himself in Rosemount, near Chicago. This is where the Pentecost service is scheduled to take place at 11:00 AM. From here it will be transmitted to North and South America via satellite. For the first time, the divine service will also be available through live audio-video streaming over the internet. Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber chose this year’s Pentecost greeting from 1 Corinthians 15: 57: “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!” In a letter addressed to all congregations of the New Apostolic Church around the world, the Church leader writes: “Christ attained the greatest victory of all on Golgotha, namely the victory over death. Those who belong to Christ can share in this victory.” more ...

Outside the American continents, this year’s Pentecost divine service will once again play out in the familiar circle of each home congregation, something that has not happened for quite some time. This year, the Pentecost divine service conducted by Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber will be transmitted beyond national borders by satellite to congregations throughout North and South America. The international Church leader is expected in Rosemont near Chicago (USA). The divine service will take place in the Rosemont Theatre and will be transmitted to Canada, the USA, and a number of countries in South America. more ...

Historic days in the “Pearl of Africa”
